The Founder

Meet Rasheedah

Rasheedah is the Founder and CEO of AssistHer. Since she was a little girl, she took the concept ‘It takes a village’ very seriously. As the youngest in an almost all women family, she never had to second guess the unconditional love, care, and support given to her, but she knew deep down how much of a luxury and privilege it was. From then, she became determined to make it less of a luxury and more of a commonplace. She created book clubs, wellness circles, mentored young girls and helped spearhead dormitory floors dedicated to Muslim students in her middle school to university years— but it wasn’t until she began to learn how the loneliness and depression epidemic was disproportionately affecting women, that she realized this wasn’t enough. She began planting seeds in her head on how to encourage community support, safe spaces, and strong connections on a larger scale for women in the U.S. who yearn for it and—quite frankly—deserve it. This is how AssistHer was born. A Space for women to to build that village, community, and receive the assistance they need to reach their full potential. So when she is asked why she does what she does, it’s because every women deserves a village.

Every women deserves AssistHerhood.
